17th-19th Century
The 17th-19th centuries was an important time period for the development of rights and responsibilities regarding dissections. Several laws were passed and enforced in England, demand for bodies increased as dissections became more common and anatomy schools grew, and bodies were stolen from graves and some people were killed to supply schools with bodies.
